    Responsibilities:


    Construction / Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning:


    • To oversee critical equipment installation and to coordinate and arrange appropriate documentation / specialist vendor assistance as required.
    • To ensure redlines, as-built, Operation and maintenance documentation and other project completion documentation is duty completed and submitted for design.
    • To review design criteria reports, drawing control listings, sequence of design deliverable, compliance of design deliverable with standards and specifications.
    • To attend technical meetings with subcontractors and clients to chair these meetings where required.
    • To oversee and prepare contractual submittals for procurement.
    • To oversee and prepare “request for quotation” packages with procurement department.
    • To review proposals for materials for compliance with the requirement of the contract.

    • Degree holder with 5 years experience in the field.
    • Ensure planning / scheduling adherence to the scope of work.
    • prepare and maintain planning / scheduling documents such as schedules, reports, charts, drawing controls, spreadsheets and other control tools, etc.

  • Reporting to : Head of Department or Project Manager


    Supervises : Assigned Engineers, CAD Designers, Designers, CAD Operators & Draftsmen


    Responsibilities:


    • Act professionally and with due diligence at all times to fully safeguard the interests of the company in all business activities.
    • Responsible for the execution of all assigned proposals and subsequent projects within his discipline; meeting the company’s contractual obligations and the client’s needs and expectations, first time, on time, within budget.
    • General supervision of his discipline on assigned projects.
    • Ensure direct, effective and timely communications of requests for action, responses to requests, routine reporting and important information to the Head of the department, Other Lead Engineers and all supervised staff.
    • Implement and maintain a co-ordinates and consistent discipline filing system for each project.
    • Ensure effective communications and coordination between all supervised staff, Other Lead Engineers and project Managers to ensure mutual awareness of requirements and sharing of information and common resources.
    • Assist the Head of Department in the performance assessment of all supervised staff.
    • Advice the Head of Department on necessary training and development requirements of all supervised staff.
    • Act as Training Supervisor and/or conduct training for supervised staff under the direction of the Head of Department and Training Manager.
    • Assist the Head of Department in the preparation of weekly short term Resource Allocation Reports for his discipline.
    • Advise the project Manager and Head of Department when work is considered to be outside of this discipline’s capability or ability to undertake within project schedule.
    • Assist the Head of Department to prepare and estimate of the required man-hours and prepare supporting documentation for all proposals and major change orders prior to issue to the Client.
    • Provision of support for his discipline to the Sales and Marketing Department.
    • Participate in Quality audits in cooperation with the Quality Manager and Head of Department.
    • Adhere to Company Quality System and Policies and procedures.
    • Advise the Head of Department of additional hardware, software, Standards, Codes of Practice and text book requirements for his discipline.
    • Act as Head of Department for his discipline or Lead Engineer for other projects, when requested.
    • Be fully aware of, and implement where appropriate, the latest International and National Standards, Codes of Practice and requirements of ‘good engineering practice’ for all work performed.
    • Be fully aware of the Scope of Work, budget and schedule for assigned projects within his discipline.
    • Prepare a Design Criteria Report for his discipline.
    • Assist the project Manager in the preparation of overtime requests for his discipline.
    • Monitor overall productivity and efficiency of all supervised staff on projects, forecast trends and anticipate potential problems and difficulties meeting milestones or budgets, coordinate with Heads of Department and other Lead Engineers to resolve problems.
    • Ensure adherence to the contract, Scope of Work and Design Criteria Report, identify variations in a timely manner, whether initiated by the Client or internally. Obtain the Project Manager’s approval of direction and any impact upon the project budget or schedule prior to implementation.
    • Conduct meetings with all supervised staff to effectively communicate and clarify project requirements. Follow up to ensure a clear understanding.
    • Participate in meetings with the project Manager, Client and third Parties, involving supervised staff as required, to communicate and clarify interfaces, requests, decisions, approvals, proposals, status, responses, etc.
    • Coordinate requirements between his and other disciplines and with the Project Manager.
    • Establish and maintain comments and hold logs.Prepare responses for the Project Manager and coordinate implementation of the client agreed resolution of all comments.
    • Establish and accurately maintain the Drawing Control, Schedule and any other control tools and report for his discipline for the project manager.
    • Co-ordinate performance of, or perform non-deliverable activities as required by the project scope of work or as requested by the project Manager, such as: Surveys, studies, reviews, attend meetings, etc.
    • Co-ordinate preparation of, or prepare documents as required by the project scope of work or as requested by the project Manager, consisting of :Drawings, specifications, construction scopes of work, calculations, Data sheets, MTO, BOQ etc.
    • coordinate and/or perform a squad check for all documents of other disciplines, reviewing all interfaces to be coordinated.
    • coordinate and/or perform a Discipline check for all documents.
    • coordinate timely preparation of documents for submittal to the client and third parties as required.
    • Review weekly internal and client project status reports and communicate potential problems to the project manager.
    • Perform the duties of Engineer or (CAD) Designer for his discipline. Aim to maintain a target minimum 95% of personal time billable to projects.
    • Review company policies, procedures and practices to establish ways to increase the motivation and/or boost the morale of supervised staff. Make recommendations to the Head of Department where a change is beneficial and economically justified.
    • Maintain a record of important communications for reference as required.

    Responsibilities:


    • Primarily responsible for the successful completion of assigned projects, meeting the company’s contractual obligations and the clients’ requirements and expectations.
    • Ensure direct, effective and timely communications of requests for action , response to requests, routine reporting and important information to management, head of department, lead engineers and all supervised staff.
    • Be fully aware of the contract, scope of work, budget and schedule for all assigned projects.
    • Ensure that all scope of work, budget and schedule are known, understood and adhered to by all supervised staff.
    • Coordinate preparation of all overtime requests and material requisitions.
    • Review and concurrence of petty cash expenses claim and business travel requests.
    • Assist the quality manager in production of a project quality plan, issue to the client and relevant staff and monitor adherence to its requirements.
    • Implement and maintain a coordinated and consistent project filing system.
    • Monitor overall productivity and efficiency of each department, forecast trends and anticipate potential problems and difficulties meeting milestones or budgets coordinate with management, head of departments and lead engineers to resolve problems.
    • Monitor adherence to the contract and scope of work, identify variations in a timely manner, whether initiated by client or internally. Obtain client’s approval of direction and any impact upon the project budget or schedule prior to implementation.
    • Conduct meetings with project staff with effective communications clarifying project requirements. Follow-up to ensure a clear understanding.
    • Conduct meeting with clients and third parties, involving project staff as required, to communicate and clarify interfaces, requests, decisions, approvals, proposals, status, responses, etc.
    • Coordinate requirements between departments, with clients and third parties.
    • Coordinate establishment and accurate maintenance of the schedule and any other control tools and reports necessary for successful project execution.
    • Act as Training Supervisor and/or conduct training for project management staff under the direction of the training manager.
    • Prepare weekly short term resource requirement reports.
    • Participate in routine coordination meetings with management and heads of departments to resolve imminent resourcing difficulties.
    • Negotiate revised milestones with client when necessary, to suit available resources.
    • Plan and participate in quality audits in cooperation with the quality manager.
    • Prepare all requisitions to subcontract project work considered to be outside of company capability or ability to undertake within project schedule.
    • Coordinate, monitor and where necessary, supervise all subcontracted work.
    • Coordinate and actively participate in the review and resolution of complex and major design issues.
    • Coordinate performance of non-deliverable activities as required by project scope of work such as studies, surveys, reviews etc.
    • Prepare construction contracts and general requirements section of construction specifications.
    • Participate in the squad check of all design deliverables, reviewing format, presentation, consistency, level of detail and general design content.
    • Produce accurate and informative weekly internal and client project status reports and communicate potential problems to management.
    • Maintain project performance records and management.
    • Implement and maintain good client relations.
    • Obtain client’s approval for all necessary overtime on the unit rate projects.
    • Provide project management support to the procurement department.
    • Coordinate assessment of effort to bid and preparation of assigned proposals for new projects and variation orders on assigned projects. Review man-hour estimates for reasonableness. Review proposed deliverables and tasks for necessity, completeness and duplication between departments. Prepare project management and control man-hour estimates. Review client’s contracts and advise management of requirements outside of the standard company contract. Coordinate production of a list of necessary assumptions and exclusions. Coordinate performance of a risk analysis on large and complex projects.
    • Conduct project contract reviews at time of award, but prior to acceptance of contract.
    • Adhere to company quality system and project management policies and procedures.
    • Participate in the performance assessment of supervised staff when requested.
    • Be fully aware of, and implement where appropriate, the latest international and national standards, codes of practice and requirements of “good general practice” for all work performed.
    • Act as head of department, lead engineer or design engineer when requested by the management.
    • Act as quality engineer when required.
    • As project engineer for one or more projects, aim to maintain a target of 95% of personal time billable to projects.
    • Review company policies, procedures and practices to establish ways to increase the motivation and/or boost the morale of all assigned staff. Make recommendations to management where a change is beneficial and economically justified.
    • Initiate timely invoicing on projects via finance division and expedite outstanding unpaid invoices with the client. Advise management when problems are anticipated or irresolvable.

    Responsibilities:


    • Execution of projects; meeting MAEC's contractual obligations and clients’ requirements and expectations.
    • Ensure direct, effective and timely communications of requests for actions, responses to clients’ requests, routine reporting and important information to the head of department, other lead engineers and all supervised staff.
    • Monitor overall productivity and efficiency of all supervised staff on projects; coordinate with Heads of department and other lead engineers to resolve project related issues.
    • Ensure adherence to the contract, scope of work; identify variations in a timely manner, whether initiated by the client or internally. Obtain head of department’s approval of directions and any impact upon the project budget or schedule prior to implementation.
    • Implement and maintain productivity targets for all supervised staff.
    • Maintain productivity statistics for regular work within all the project management and control departments and for routine types of projects as a whole.
    • Implement and maintain coordinated internal reporting procedures and conduct routine weekly meetings with all supervised staff to monitor the company’s performance, reporting to the management.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly overall summary project status reports for the management.
    • Prepare monthly project performance records for management.
    • Assignment of all supervised staff to projects, ensuring optimization of staff deployment. Implement the temporary assignment of supervised staff in alternative positions of employment where necessary or beneficial.
    • Prepare long term resource loading reports for all active projects for management.
    • Prepare weekly short term resource allocation reports for the project management and control departments.
    • Participate in routine weekly coordination meetings with management, project managers and heads of department to resolve imminent difficulties.
    • Be fully aware of, and implement where appropriate, the latest international and national standards, codes of practice and requirements of “good engineering practice” for all work performed.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
